What is a social adventure holiday?
A social adventure holiday is a group activity holiday where accommodation, meals and activities come in one package. Rafting, paragliding, scuba diving, boat trips or snowboarding are done with expert instructors, and evening entertainment and social activities bring the group together. It is a fully planned adventure holiday where solo travellers meet new people.
Can I join on my own? Will I get bored?
Yes; the great majority of our guests come on their own. Introductions start before the trip in a WhatsApp group, and from the first evening a group leader runs meet-and-greet events and night entertainment. Because every activity is done as a group you are never left alone; most guests go home with new friends.
Are the activities safe?
Every activity is led by qualified instructors and guides: paragliding flights are flown by pilots affiliated with the Turkish Aeronautical Association, and dives are done one-to-one with divers affiliated with the Turkish Underwater Sports Federation. All equipment such as helmets, life jackets and dive gear is provided by us, and instructors brief you before each activity. Doğadayız is a licensed travel agency and a TÜRSAB member (licence no. 8513).
What should we bring with us?
For summer programmes a swimsuit, towel, shorts, quick-dry clothes, trainers, sunscreen and a hat are enough; all activity equipment such as dive gear, helmets and life jackets is included in the price. For winter programmes bring thermal underwear, thermal socks and gloves; ski jacket, ski trousers, helmet and goggles can be rented daily at the resort. Do not forget your ID and any personal medication.
Do I need experience, swimming skills or fitness?
No experience is needed for activity holidays; you do not have to swim for rafting, boat trips, jeep safari or a tandem paragliding flight, as every activity is done with instructors and guides. Basic swimming ability is enough for scuba diving courses. Snowboard and ski course packages are designed for complete beginners; programmes that require prior skiing experience say so on the package page.
How long does a scuba diving course take and where is the certificate valid?
CMAS 1 star and PADI Open Water scuba diving courses run in Fethiye as 3-night, 4-day programmes with accommodation; theory, shallow-water skills and open-water dives are completed with an instructor. The certificates are internationally recognised and let you dive anywhere in the world. If you want to try diving first, discovery dive packages start from 2 nights.
Is there an age or weight limit?
Summer activity holidays are open to guests aged 18 and over; the upper age limit varies by programme and is stated on the package page. For safety, weight limits apply in paragliding, rafting and diving (paragliding: 100 kg for men, 85 kg for women). Guests aged 12–18 can join diving courses and snowboard-ski programmes accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
How does accommodation and room sharing work?
Accommodation for the whole programme (for example 6 nights, 7 days in Fethiye) is included in the package price. Couples stay in double rooms, and groups of friends in rooms for 2–3 according to the number they book. Solo guests share rooms for 2 or 3 with other solo guests of the same gender. You can also add early check-in to your booking to settle into your room on the afternoon of arrival day.
What is included in the price? Is transport included?
All-inclusive activity holiday packages cover accommodation, breakfast, lunch and dinner, every activity on the programme with its equipment, activity photos and videos, night entertainment, guiding and transfers between activities. Main transport from your city to the resort, entrance fees to historical sites, drinks at lunch and during entertainment, and personal expenses are not included. In winter packages the ski pass and equipment coverage varies by package and is listed item by item on each package page.
How do booking, payment and cancellation work?
Booking takes a few minutes on the website; you can pay with any bank's credit card via secure 3D Secure payment or by bank transfer within 6 hours of booking. Returning-guest and referral discounts are applied automatically at checkout. If your plans change, you can cancel with a 100% refund, change your date or transfer the booking to someone else up to 8 days before the start of summer programmes in Fethiye, 10 days for Marmaris, Kaş and Ölüdeniz, and 10 days for the Erciyes and Sarıkamış winter programmes (these rights can be used once). Some packages, such as Bansko, have different deadlines; the current terms are on the package page and in the summer and winter digital service agreements.
